EA Sports WRC 23: Release Date Announced, Trailer, Early Access
Get ready for the official WRC racing experience in EA Sports WRC 23, set to release in November 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The highly anticipated official game of the World Rally Championship (WRC) is set to make its debut with EA Sports WRC 23, a collaboration between EA and Codemasters. Racing enthusiasts can mark their calendars for November 3, 2023, as this exciting title is confirmed to hit PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on that date.
The new Rally Experience
EA Sports WRC 23 promises to deliver an authentic rally racing experience, featuring over 600 kilometers of stages that faithfully replicate the current WRC season. Players will have the chance to get behind the wheel of the cutting-edge Rally1 hybrid cars from Toyota, M-Sport Ford, and Hyundai. But that's not all; the game also offers a diverse lineup of historic vehicles and various gameplay modes.
One noteworthy aspect is EA's emphasis on describing this new game as a true racing simulation. This suggests that despite the array of exciting new features, the focus on realistic driving physics and mechanics remains paramount. The introduction of a "constructor mode" allows players to create their own custom cars following current regulations and then compete as a new entrant in the championship.
WRC 23 in Unreal Engine
A significant leap in visual fidelity is expected, as EA Sports WRC will be the first Codemasters game to utilize the powerful Unreal Engine.

Reliving Rallying Moments
The introduction of the "Moments" feature adds a new daily challenge mode to the game. Moments draw on historical content but also recreate scenarios from the current WRC season. The game is set to include 68 classic cars, with highlights such as Colin McRae's iconic 1998 Subaru Impreza. For contemporary content, expect 10 vehicles from the WRC, WRC2, and Junior WRC categories of the current year, complete with their respective liveries, all available from launch.
Club Competitions and Online Play
Fans of club competitions will be delighted to know that the club feature is making a return. This asynchronous multiplayer mode allows for competition over an extended period, adding depth to the online experience. Additionally, online multiplayer will support up to 32 players across platforms. The supported platforms include PC (Steam and Epic Games), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Notably, the game will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
While the official launch date for EA Sports WRC 23 is in November, players who pre-order the digital edition can enjoy three days of early access starting from October 31, 2023.
